This policy explains what information Remix Motion ("we", "us"), operated by Huan Lin, an individual developer based in Hong Kong, collects when you use remixmotion.com, how we use it, who processes it for us, and the choices you have.
- Account information: your name, email address, email verification status and profile image if you add one. For email-and-password accounts we store a password hash, never the password itself.
- Google sign-in: if you sign in with Google, we receive your email address, name and profile image from Google.
- Photos you upload: the one or two photos you choose for a video (JPG, PNG or WebP, up to 4 MB each).
- Generated videos and generation records: the videos made for you, plus the effect, video format, number of photos, status, credit cost and time of each generation.
- Credits and purchases: your credit balance and purchase records, such as the pack, amount, currency, date, status and the payment provider's order and payment IDs.
- Security and technical information: session identifiers, IP address and browser (user-agent) information used to keep you signed in, limit abuse and fix errors. Our hosting provider also processes standard request logs.
- Emails with us: messages you send to support and the email address you send them from.
We use this information to create and secure your account, generate and store your videos, process payments and keep your credit balance accurate, send account emails (such as email verification and password reset), answer support requests, prevent fraud and abuse, enforce our Terms of Service and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use your photos or videos to train AI models.
- Uploaded photos and generated videos are stored privately in Cloudflare R2. They are not public, and only your signed-in account can view or download them through the site.
- To generate a video, we give our AI provider, Kie.ai, short-lived signed links to your photos (they expire within an hour), together with the selected effect. Kie.ai runs the video model (such as ByteDance Seedance) and returns the finished video, which we copy into our private storage. Kie.ai processes the photos and video under its own terms and retention practices.
- Safety checks: before a video starts, each photo is sent to OpenAI's moderation service, which scores it for nudity and sexual or violent content. After the video is made, a few still frames of it (extracted by Cloudflare) are checked the same way before you can see it. OpenAI processes these checks under its API terms and does not use them to train its models. Each photo is also checked, at the same time, by an AI vision model on Cloudflare Workers AI for swimwear, underwear or a bare chest; Cloudflare does not keep the photo after the check or use it to train models. If a photo or video is blocked for sexual or violent content, we keep a private copy and a record of the check as described in "How long we keep information". A photo refused only for its clothing is recorded (account ID, time and the answer) without a copy.
- Profile pictures are different: an avatar you upload is stored at a public link so it can be displayed. Do not use a sensitive image as your avatar.
We use these providers to run Remix Motion. They process information only as needed to provide their services to us:
- Cloudflare: website hosting and Workers, private R2 storage for photos and videos, the clothing check on uploaded photos (Workers AI), avatar storage, rate limiting, security checks (Turnstile) and delivery of email sent to our support address.
- Neon: our Postgres database for account, credit, generation and purchase records.
- Kie.ai: AI video generation with third-party video models (such as ByteDance Seedance), as described above.
- OpenAI: automated content moderation of uploaded photos and of frames from generated videos, as described above.
- Stripe and Link: checkout, as our reseller and merchant of record (sold through Link, a Stripe service). We send Stripe your email address, the pack and price, and our order reference. Stripe and Link collect your payment and billing details (such as name and address, for sales tax) directly; we never see your card details. The Stripe Privacy Policy and Link Privacy Policy apply to the information you give them.
- Resend: sending account emails from noreply@mail.remixmotion.com.
- Microsoft Clarity: interaction analytics, heatmaps and session replay to help us find usability problems. See Cookies and analytics below and the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
- PostHog: product analytics and session replay (hosted in the United States) to see which steps of making and buying a video work and where people get stuck. See Cookies and analytics below and the PostHog Privacy Policy.
- Google: sign-in, if you choose Google, the mailbox we use to read and answer support email, and Google Analytics, which tells us how visitors use the site (see Cookies and analytics).
These providers may process information in countries other than your own, including the United States.
We use cookies and browser storage needed to run the site, such as keeping you signed in and remembering display preferences. We also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site: it sets its own cookies and receives information such as the pages you view, your device and browser, and your approximate location. We use it only for statistics, not for advertising, and we do not use advertising cookies. The checkout page of our payment provider may set its own cookies when you pay. See our Cookie Policy for details and how to opt out.
We also use Microsoft Clarity to understand page visits, clicks, scrolling, and device/browser information through heatmaps and session replay. Clarity uses cookies and other tracking technologies. In Clarity recordings we mask form fields, account pages, your uploaded photos and your generated videos; the public text of our pages stays visible, so we can see which parts of a page confuse people. Microsoft processes this usage data under its Privacy Statement.
We also use PostHog to measure the same kind of usage: pages viewed, clicks, the steps of creating and buying a video, and session replays with form fields, account pages, uploaded photos and generated videos masked. When you are signed in, PostHog links your visits to an internal account ID (never your email address or name), and our server tells PostHog when an order is paid, refunded or disputed, so we can see the whole journey from first visit to purchase. PostHog sets a first-party cookie and local storage entry (names starting with ph_). You can block it with browser privacy controls or a tracking blocker.
- Photos and videos are kept privately in your account until you delete them. You can delete any single video together with the photos it was made from in My videos, or all your photos and videos at once in My videos or Settings → Security, at any time. Your account and credits stay, and each video's entry (date, effect and credits used) stays in My videos so you can see where your credits went.
- Account, credit and generation records are kept while your account exists.
- Purchase records are kept after account deletion, without the link to your account, for accounting, tax and fraud prevention.
- Support emails are kept as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up.
- Content blocked by our safety checks: a private copy of the blocked photo or video and a record of the check (account ID, time and scores) are kept (for a photo refused only for its clothing, the record without a copy), also after account deletion, for as long as needed to enforce our Acceptable Use Policy, show payment providers and authorities that content is checked, and establish or defend legal claims.
You can delete your account in Settings → Security. You may need to sign in again first, and deletion is not available while a video is still being generated. When you delete your account:
- your account, sign-in sessions, credit balance and generation history are deleted from our database, and any remaining credits are lost;
- we delete your uploaded photos, generated videos and profile picture from our storage. If a storage step fails, it is logged so we can finish the cleanup;
- purchase records are kept without the link to your account, as described above;
- records and copies of content blocked by our safety checks are kept, as described above.
Copies may remain for a limited time in provider backups and logs, and with Kie.ai under its own retention practices.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, and to object to or restrict some processing. You can update your profile in Settings, delete your account yourself, or email support@remixmotion.com for any other request. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will take reasonable steps to let you know.
